Day 368: In the game
Oct. 18th, 2006 06:29 pmIt's official. I am back in the game. I can now proudly call myself a studious Asian nerd once again. Why? Because I got one hundred percent (100%) on my mythology test. Granted, it's a two-thousand level class, and there were no points for eloquence, but I r0xx0red the house, dammit. Me and one other girl got the big triple digit. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be me because there seem to be some very diligent students in that class, students even more diligent than I, if such were possible.
Today was cold, and while snow wasn't falling the ground was treacherously icy. Thus is the conundrum of walking outdoors in winter - you want to walk fast to get out of the cold, but if you walk too quickly you'll break your neck on the snow or ice.
I hate the cold. Snow is only pretty if I don't have to be in it.
I stayed up a bit later than I should have, and got into bed before one a.m., only to be thwarted by the upstairs neighbors. Every time I was about to fall asleep, they would start up another domestic dispute. Then they would go quiet, but it didn't matter, because I was wide awake.
So...today was long. Philosophy club was fun, because Dr. Petersen came and talked about movies and stuff. He's a cool teacher. I was quiet because I didn't have anything to say that wouldn't involve semeiology or whatever in a bad way and make me look like an uber-nerd to the others. Oh well. Latin was fun, but it's looking to get complicated. Thanks to the dazzling stylistics of Strunk and White, I know what a gerund is. Go me. Navigating this section still looks difficult.
Gack.
Seirra is coming over, and we're going to watch a terrible fantasy movie together, because it was available for rent and I am going to take advantage of fangirling when I have th chance to share it and yet be discreet about it at the same time. Go me.
Not much to say, other than that. Hmmm.
