Day 117: Friggin server...
Feb. 23rd, 2005 12:37 pmYesterday the server was acting up and everything was slow and nothing went right. Life could be worse as far as I'm concerned - life is good when there are whole loads of cute Japanese boys to look at. All the time. Heh heh. Last night we were meant to play some VtM but the Panda Cub was working so we girls watched the last half of Kindred: the Embraced. I was totally gutted when it ended. Julian died! *Insert horrible wailing* It was an awesome show - even though it had a few cheesy characters - and it had plenty of good-looking men to boot. Loved it. Of course, every now and then I looked at it with a gamer's eye and mumbled under my breath about spectacular rolls or botches. Funny how that works. We watched the first three episodes up in the loft and ended up getting the heave ho at around ten, so I decided it would be fine and dandy to watch it on the big screen in the lobby since no one was there - that cute Japanese boys wandered in and out was just a bonus, honest, it was well and truly not my original intention. We'd watched all the previous episodes on a big screen and the three of us cramming into my room and watching it on my crappy 15" old TV (as much as I love that old thing when I'm watching stuff alone) wasn't a pleasant thought.
Then we played some Tekken. My dynastic rule didn't go as well as it had in previous Tekken marathons, but we did well all the same. Carl still hasn't won with Yoshimitsu. Since the Japanese boys kept eyeing my PS2 eagerly while I was setting it up we decided to invite some of them to play with us. I owned them. All of them. In rapid succession. And I'll admit to the fact that I lied when one of them asked if I was a "strong" player. But they were jocks, not geeks, to beating them wasn't as sweet a victory as it could have been. Heh heh. Shawn is pretty good at what he does - he has Tekken three and once he knows how the moves convert he's good to go.
I realized belatedly that I had poetry to read and French sheets to do, so I was up horribly late - the caffeine helped, of course. But we had fun yesterday. Today is not so fun as my paper count has just gone up from two to three. I reckon I can get one of them done today and the other two done tomorrow. Heh heh.
Ja ne, gang!
