Yes...not sure how long i have been sitting in front of my laptop, but my eyes are so dry i think they might start to burn even though i took out my contacts a couple of hours ago. i came home from rodney's early with the intent of being productive (and by early i mean early, to the tune of half nine) and i took a shower and have been sitting around waiting for it to dry - since i didn't want the dye to bleed all over my clothes - and i am still sitting here and my hair is still not quite dry. and i have been sitting here for about two hours, if my clock is telling me the right things.
and i am not wont to trust my clock these days. while i was setting my alarm last night - not a feat you should attempt single-handedly - i must have set the actual time rather than the alarm time forward by an hour, so after hinata woke me up for prayer i fell back asleep, my alarm went off and then i waited a good forty-five minutes before getting out of bed because i was so tired, but i was up and dressed - although not neatly by any stretch of the imagination - and on my way out the door i attempted to wake benten who was sleeping like a rock. when i made it outside i realized that it was still oddly dark, darker than it ought to have been even though daylight hours have been getting progressively shorter, and so i checked my watch, and it was only 7 am. i sneaked back into the apartment and turned off all the lights i'd turned on in order to disturb benten into wakefulness, grabbed some food and sat down to waste time because i couldn't get myself back to sleep after panicking myself awake. benten awoke of her own volition about fifteen minutes later and i apologized and sent her back to bed with the promise of waking her when i really left. but when i was surfing around last night i came across a couple of the old websites i used to hang out at and was pleased that they were still alive, so i sort of sat and listened to flogging molly and pondered upon them until it was time to go. after criminal justice i came home and slept, and i told myself i would only sleep till ten so i could get up and get some stuff done, and by this time i had fixed my alarm clock, so i curled up on my bed and went to sleep.
when i woke up, it was almost eleven, so i had under an hour to get things done before my next class. and then i went out to see what the commotion was with the other girls. i looked at my watch again, and it was only almost ten. i should really learn to trust my biological clock more. but the four of us - me, aya, benten and hinata - decided to dress up because it was the last day of classes before halloween. aya-chan makes a great death, and apparently some of the oriental students recognized her as a character out of sandman. hinata was more subtle as thessaly, and benten and i were a pair of matching consciences - she was the bad one and i was the good one. she was all in black with a pair of little devil horns, and i was all in white with her pretty butterfly wings. we meandered down to the rotunda together and had lunch and chatted until i had class, and then i went to class, which was all right. moorty was boring as usual but i took notes. the odd tweaking that i am doing with my characters is coming well, and when november starts i think this novel will do just fine.
but the night before when we were hanging out with the guys, rowsdower produced a note that his roommate junpei had found at work - junpei being a janitor in the rotunda at night. we read it over and laughed at the author's bad grammar and spelling and whatnot and realized that whomever the sender was - some poor bloke named donald - he was enamoured with, or perhaps stalking, one carli jackson, whom we all know and do not love, but the boys were worried about the whole stalker thing and are probably going to look into it, but benten and i saw carli today and it took much effort to not ask her about donald.
i got my midterm back in english, so now i have an a minus, but that's not so big a deal since participation is, like, fifty percent of that class's grade, and i always show up and do what i have to do and whatnot, so it's all good in the end. once classes were done we girls went down to walmart to pick up some halloween supplies and food - and went a little crazy near the five dollar clearance rack - and came home. poor panda had to get his wisdom teeth out so he was too drugged out of his mind to be any good at gm-ing a game of vampire, so benten and i decided that now would be the time for me to try my hand at it, but my evil laptop, the one i am typing on now, wouldn't behave for me. there was nothing wrong with the disk i was using since it worked fine in the lab when i went to print out character sheets, but it's the disk drive, because it doesn't go in all the way the drive overheats and stops working, and i have no idea what to do to fix it. but in the end none of us felt like gaming. aya went to visit panda and hinata took oniko down to st. george with her while she visits her sister and watches anime and does free laundry and whatnot. i took off for a bit to make sure rodney was alive, and then i came back here.
and we have some full circle.
and it should be duly noted that the other people who live in this building are noisy prats.
