Day 345: [Out of creative entry titles for the time being]
I have all of twenty minutes to update before I have to scamper off to class. Go me. I went home for labor day weekend to see my family. I was only home for a day, but it was good to see my family again. Even though we had that huge fight a while ago, I feel pretty okay about my family. After talking with my dad, I'm a lot cooler with him than I was through most of my adolescence. Yesterday I went shopping with my sister and her friend Nicole who's home on leave before she ships out to Okinawa with the marines. I had planned on spending nothing and ended up spending the most. I bought a cheap video game and a multi-tap for my PS2 because it's a multiplayer game and I want to be able to play some of my other multi games with my friends. Like Champions of Norrath and Gauntlet. The game I got was a Harry Potter game. Why? Because I suck at gaming, as much as I love it, and it was on sale, and I was determined to get a game I could bloody well win. As it turns out, even a game designed for eleven-year-olds can utterly defeat me. But Seirra came over last night and we played, and had a lot of fun. I also picked up the entirety of the Broken Saints series. I started watching it my first year of college. Dom and Niichan had recommended it to me, and I loved it. It's got some fairly famous voice actors in it, and after taking Petersen's class I just HAD to get it. It's the sort of thing that gut-wrenched me every time, the sort of thing you watch alone in your room in the dark (yes, I noticed the POV change, and I'm in too much of a hurry to care) so you can absorb it all. I'm not entirely sure when I'll have time to watch it, but I'm excited. I also bought another skirt, at Shaz and Cole's encouragement. Go me. Another skirt. And I'd planned on taking the bike out today. Oh well. At least the skirt is cute.
BenTen and I stayed up very late Saturday night/Sunday morning before I left, and it was a lot of fun gaming, just the two of us. I wondered why I decided to play two characters, because we played just one on one. That was the time we ran into Cid. But still, it was fun. I sort of heisted the plot from the Forbidden game series, because I could and because it would be fun, and I also left open some party spaces so Seirra and Del could join at will. But we didn't even get to finish a battle. Such is life. Sleep is good for the soul. I am having a seriously good time at school this year. Much more gung ho about the whole school thing than I was at the beginning of last semester.
